Juan Carlos Bodoque, I say both of them were horrible, but the commies were worse. They destroyed many liveliehoods and people. (Cultural Revolution?) America did that, but on a much smaller scale. As you probably know, I have a very pessimistic view of the world, and I am very distrustful of everyone, and I believe that the Cold War was both unnecessary and deceptive.

What about the dictatorhips that the U.S established around the world which did much harm (although not to americans, maybe one of the reasons it's often overlooked) I wouldn't call Pinochet or Sukarno better than Pol Pot or Ho Chi Minh

Pinochet okay understandable but Sukarno ? I mean, the East Timor genocide was just as bad as the cambodian one if not worse since it was ignored almost altogether by most of the media

America's Wilsonianism still lives to this day. Communism dried out because it didn't work in the field. Too many people were taking advantage of it to speak out against it. The only thing that polcomp got right is that communism is pretty much fascism.

A Indonesian dictator supported by the U.S and supported him during his worse crimes, look up East Timor genocide and you'll see how bad he is

The only thing that polcomp got right is that communism is pretty much fascism. It's not that it didn't work, it's that it wasn't communsim, it's authoritarianism. The basis of communism is to destroy class division, yet you can look at the Soviet Union or China and class division are omnipresent. They simply use the words to give themselves excuses for their actions. I suggest you start ready some of Noam Chomsky's books (a fellow ana-synd), he speaks alot about it.
